Profits and Sponsored activities

Statement of non-profit

The Society does not contemplate any gain or profits and at all times shall be considered a non-profit, no-stock organization. No money or assets of the Society shall be distributed to directors of the Society, except as compensation for documented goods or services, nor shall the Society make loans of any kind of Society assets.

Sponsored activities

TULISOC may use its funds for:

  • costs of attending the symposia for speakers, session chairs and members of the symposium and executive committees.
  • grants for deserving scientists and students to attend meetings organized by TULISOC.
  • salaries for staff as necessary for the functioning of TULISOC and its activities.
  • such other purposes as decided by the Executive Committee and ratified by the General Meeting, including, but not limited to: funding of scientific projects, exchange of scientists between institutions, establishment of common scientific reagents for use by members of the Society, and the sponsoring of training sessions.
